Hannah was so festive on St. Patrick's Day!  She is our lucky charm!

a recent drive.

We had another (yay!) nice day and decided to drive west toward Sandusky.  Hannah slept the entire drive there and hardly made a peep on the drive home.  Thank goodness for car seat toys!  We ended up by the lake and I was able to take a couple pics.

It was sunny but still cold and windy by the lake!

We have been able to go walking outside in the nice weather lately!

This little Roly Poly rolled over today (back to front)!  She's getting way to big!

someone broke into our house.

BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU POST ON YOUR BLOG!  SOMEONE MIGHT COME FROM ACROSS THE COUNTRY TO BREAK INTO YOUR HOUSE!

That someone, showed up at 4:30 in the morning.  I had just started to feed Hannah and in the front room I heard someone fiddling with the door handle...

...I leaned over and hit Connel hard.  "Connel!  Someone's breaking into our house!"
"Oh crap!" said Connel.

The next thing I know He's digging in his top drawer, for a gun no doubt.  I think not, it was a shirt!  I'm thinking..."Why in the world is he worried about being dressed?  In the meantime, our TV and laptop are getting stolen!"

Then he swiftly heads toward the door without any weapon of any kind and I'm thinking that my husband is going to die.

Then I hear someone crying, no wait, that's laughing...

"Laura. I think you have a visitor..." and in pops...

MY SURPRISE!

They drove through the night, through snow, through darkness, just to be here for THE MAIN EVENT!

But, in the meantime...we had some fun at the Art Museum and Kirtland!

But, let's not forget, we also had to get together with some old friends...

...and chill with the cousins!

Thanks for coming you guys!  We were sure "lucky" to have you here!

hannah's blessing.

On March 7, 2009 we were "blessed" to be able to bless our baby girl, Hannah Mae!  Her Daddy was the one to give the blessing and we had some family and friends that were able to participate.  The day was full of the spirit and we once again were reminded of the how special this little girl is that has come into our lives!

..and yes, my Mother made the fantastic dress!

four months.

Dear Bug,

I will probably say this every month and milestone, but I canNOT believe you are getting so big.  It's so bittersweet to watch you grow and learn new things every day!  Right now you are starting to do some really fun things!

• You are lifting your head up when you are having tummy-time.

• You are starting to bat at things and sometimes get a little frustrated when you can't get the thing you are trying to touch! :) 
• You are still coo-ing away!  Mommy loves when you get so intense when you "talk", I just wish that I knew all the things that you were saying to me!
• You have started solid foods!  We have given you rice cereal so far and you seem to love it!  You anticipate the next bite and practically try to suck the spoon out of our hands!  

• You had your first cold!  Mommy was so worried and took your temperature practically every hour.  Daddy said that if I took you to the doctor, they would just tell me that you had a cold.  And he was right, but it sure gave me some peace of mind!
• You are taking a bath in the big tub now and although you get a little jittery at first, eventually you get excited and concentrate real hard on splashing! 

• You have started sleeping about 7 hours straight at night!  The longest you have slept is 8 hours!  Woo hoo!
• You have started to suck and chew on everything that you CAN get a hold of!  It all goes to your mouth!

• You have started to giggle!  We LOVE THIS!  You love to dance with us and start to smile almost every time you hear an upbeat song come on!  You giggle and laugh when we tickle you and when we dance around the room with you in our arms.  I mostly think you just like to watch us act silly!

•  Your favorites right now are your "WADDLE!" book, your Eric Carle butterfly toy and watching the fish in the tank!  Your un-favorites are getting out of the bath (because it's cold!), and riding in your carseat.

nice days.

We have been having some great weather...and when Cleveland has great weather, you've got to take advantage of it!  A few Sundays ago we took a walk in the Metroparks.  Hannah's decided to have her nap, and peacefully enjoyed her stroller while we took a short walk and enjoyed Mr. Sun.
