twenty six years {part two}.

On Saturday Connel took me to the St. Louis Art Museum and we saw some interesting pieces of art from various period of time and various places around the world. Egyptian, Pre-Columbian, Oceanic, American, Japanese, etc, etc. It was very interesting, we didn't make it through the entire museum, however, what we did see was great and it was FREE!

After the Museum kicked us out (because they were closing...) we decided to go to Union Station (an vintage railroad station turned shopping center/hotel/restaurant hub), what we forgot was that there was a big Mardi Gras celebration and so we ended up leaving, we did still have enough time to see the beautiful architecture and design of the building.


Later we went to Bandanna's BBQ and then went home to watch Swiss Family Robinson.

Then on Sunday, I got to talk to my entire family face to face on Skype!It was a great weekend!

One more thing..have you all checked out the new BARBIE BLOG?!?!? Awesome. I love Barbie, somebody told me that they think she is going to make her comeback with all this 50th anniversary stuff, I just thought "She doesn't have to make a comeback, she's always been the classiest fashionista out there!!!"

twenty six years {part one}.

Yesterday was my birthday, and thanks to the Connel, the Taylor's and so many other people my day turned out to be such a beautiful day!

First, my husband woke me up with a big Snow White/Sleeping Beauty kiss, which I would usually get annoyed at, but it was my birthday this time, so it was okay. I continued to feel like a princess for the entire day.

My good friend Kim, and her children came over to sing me happy birthday and presented my with a huge, delicious, beautiful CHOCOLATE CAKE.

The highlights of this little visit were:

• Addie unconsciously stepping/hopping from one foot to another while she was singing "Happy Birthday" because she was so excited.
• Callen telling me..."appy burt-day."
• Of course, the chocolate cake, which I knew Kim had put so much time into because she knew that I would want a cake for my birthday.
• Even though this next one wasn't a highlight for Kim...Callen throwing a fit because he wanted to stay and play at "wa-wa's" house.

Then, later that evening (having been invited by the Taylor's per their birthday cake visit.) We went to their home to eat chinese take out and the yummy cake (which I was tempted all day to eat a slice of and held back because I wanted to share the delight with everyone else and because it was so beautiful, I could hardly bear to cut it!).

Thanks to the Taylor's for giving me my birthday and to all those people I love so much who made it a special day for me! I LOVE YOU ALL...The day was a beauty!

vday 2009.

The night of Valentine's, we were busy helping put together a stake Couples Conference and Dance and so *we didn't plan anything big for that day.

However, the night before, Connel surprised me with a rose and took me out to a place called "The Glass Olive" We had to dress up and everything! It was really fun! The place had a band and a place for dancing! We ate and ordered some virgin drinks.

Then we listened to the band and watched people dance...which was fairly entertaining! (watch the old guy in the middle..I was laughing so hard!) yes, I know, at the expense of someone else, but hey, I'm pretty sure he was drunk...



Then, Connel asked me to dance! I was a little embarrased, but I had never done anything like that before and it was very fun!

Then on Vday, Connel made me breakfast...

...then took me shopping and got me THESE LOVELIES...


...and a necklace to match. I wore it to the Valentine's dance at the church with a black outfit! It was so fun to wear...I felt hott, but the shoes kind of started to hurt and I took them off a lot! hee hee. It's okay though...I have always wanted a pair if RED HIGH HEELS!!!

Later, we helped out with the Couples Conference and Dance for our Stake. It was soo awesome, the speakers were great, the food was wonderful and the dance was really fun! Here we are at the dance.

Then, that night I sent Connel to Home Depot for a bit while I set up this to surprise him...


...*Connel has been missing Camping and the outdoors A LOT lately and so I decided to go camping in our living room!!! It was a blast, don't you just love the campfire?!? I put a flashing light under it to make the fire seem more "real" and I put on the video of him and his riding buddies in Moab 2006. He LOVED it!
