We're here! Wow...what a trip. On Friday we had a 9-10 hour drive ahead of us, we expected to leave Friday afternoon and arrive in the St. Louis area Saturday afternoon. A 9 hour drive ended up taking 3 days! We finally arrived at our home sweet home on Sunday around 5 PM. We are here, the truck is unpacked, but the boxes are not. Oh and we are staying in a hotel because we do not have running water...it is late and I want to tell you the entire story, but I am tired and have alot of unpacking to do tomorrow (and then packing again for our little vacation HOME! YEAH!) So, I will have to let you in on the entire un-air-conditioned story later!
I do have to praise my wonderful husband...who unpacked almost the entire 24 ft. moving truck (almost) on his own! He is so tired...he really needs a break! Idaho/Utah here we come!

memory lane.
A few months ago Connel and I found our old cameras (non-digital). In them, we had some old film and decided to finish them up and develop them. We finished one off when Alicia was here and tonight we went to Target and had the film in my camera developed. (We are waiting for batteries in order to finish off the film in Connel's Camera before we go develop it.) For some reason I just knew that the pictures were going to hold some long lost treasure from our past excursions. And for once, I was right! I had always regretted not taking pictures of the first apartment that we lived in..."the Honeymoon Cottage". Well, no more regrets! How fun is this. Take note of the cute little newlywed things in each picture, and please don't take note of the hideous decorating schemes...
The Kitchen: We though it was pretty funny that we still have most of the items in this picture (well, not the crispy rice, but, you know...) I'm so glad that I learned how to declutter my counterspace!
The Livingroom: Awww....look at that cute little Charlie Brown Tree. I just LOVE the maroon and blue color scheme...what do you think? ;oP
Bathroom: How I DO NOT miss that coral PINK Tile!
Bedroom: Notice...the wedding picture/bouquet shrine on the shelf, and the overflowing laundry basket. Oh yes, and once again, the clashing maroon and blue...
What in the world was I thinking? It looks like I let Connel decorate. And although, I love that quilt and the story behind it...I made it for Connel (Christmas 03)...I am a little embarrassed to admit, that is still our bedspread. It motivates me to work on my current quilt project...plus it would match the curtains so much better!! :)

It's a little blurry, but I think one of the only ones I have of all of us at this point in time! (I also love this picture because it hides the fact that I was sooo much skinnier than I am now!!)
I am so looking forward to developing that next roll of film! It really was so much fun to sit with Connel and reminisce about the wonderful time that we have always had when we are together. He is leaving for the next 2 weeks to go St. Louis and start work, find an apartment, etc and I am going to miss him so so much! HERE IS A BIG SMOOCH TO MY HUBBY_POO!
P.S. Oh and here is one of the photos that we tried to use up from the camera...if you look closely at her hands you can see the evidence of what Alicia did the entire month she was with us! Hee..Hee! Love ya to peices Leshy! :)
