my crazy blogging story.

Okay so I JUST posted but...Connel just told me the CRAZIEST STORY IN THE WORLD!!! You will be intrigued. So here goes:

This week while Connel was at work he had an very interesting experience. He met a big wig who is new at the office. So, of course, Connel being the outgoing and friendly person that he is, says hi and introduces himself. The man said hello and introduced himself as well. Then after a short pause he asked, "Now, your wife is Laura... right?" Mind you, Connel or I have never met this man before, and whammo... he knows who we are!?!? What do you think was going through Connel's mind? After seeing the expression on Connel's face, the man probably realized that he should explain. So the next thing he mentioned was that he had seen our blog while he was at work. Okay, so what does tell you? Um... STALKER!?! Okay so no, not really... but I was worried for a second, until Connel told me the rest of the story. The guy explained how any news about WGI is posted for him to view and somehow he can view the site, news, whatever carries the info about the company or the name of the company. So when my little insignificant blog carried the name of WGI, he scanned our little story. Oh heavens... how I hope I have not said anything too unintelligent or even worse... something about Connel that would make him look bad! Isn't that crazy?!?! Connel doesn't really remember the rest of the conversation, he was a little stunned after that!

So, what do you think, should I make my blog available to invited people's only?

Update:
For heaven's sake! I just found the entry from January 20 (Update on our Life...) where I mention WGI... and talk about embarrassing! Commercials about Potatoes?!?!? What was I thinking? Please inform me if I ever do anything else so incredibly psycho!

friday nights.

In my young and ambitious days, this is what I used to do on a Friday night...PARTAHAY! (I am also having fun with my new scanner so here are a few recently scanned pics...so some of you might just kill me!)
Fetching pants Jana!!! PLEATHERRRR...Grrr.

Throw ya hands up at ma-ay!

What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas!

Girls just wanna have fun! (FYI-This was not normal Friday night attire, only dateless Fridays:)

THIS Friday Night all I did was took a warm bubble bath and finished my book...and I LOVED it!! :) How life changes... back in the day, I would have thought life was ending if I had nothing to do on a Friday night, now I relish when I get that time to just RELAX!

On Saturday morning we celebrated Easter by having flower and sunshine shaped pancakes. I even used the pancake shapers to shape my scrambled eggs like a sunshine. I guess you could say that I had my eggs "sunny-side up"!!! HAHA!

team tessa.

A little over a year ago my sister, Emily, and her husband, Aaron, had a little baby girl. For those of you who don't know...that little girl was born at 26 weeks and weighed 2 lbs. 3 oz...through many prayers, help from above and the miracle of modern medicine and technology... she was able to grow into a healthy and ADORABLE little girl who is now ONE year old and cute as ever! One of the many organizations that helped support Tessa was the March of Dimes. They are now joining forces with the March of Dimes on April 26th in a March for Babies. The March of Dimes organization helps with research on premature birth and preventing birth defects and gives hospital support to families of premature babies. To read more about what she is doing to help (and learn more about Tessa's story) see the post on her blog or look on her March for Babies page. You can either participate in the walk (most people I know probably won't be able to fly to Massachusetts to do this :) or you can click here to support her walk by donating!
