I can't believe that we've come this far already! It seems like we just found out we were pregnant...now we are buying cribs and car seats, stocking up on diapers, and relishing the last few months of "us" time before our little girl arrives.
I have found a new doctor, so I am less stressed and feel comfortable with my decision. I went for an appointment with the NP on Thursday and things went fine. She was absolutely wonderful and made me feel so important. We go in on Wednesday to meet with the doctor and see our little baby again...on another ultrasound! Why another one? Because my new doctor's office would like to have their own look at her. I don't blame them, she sure is cute! hee hee. :) So maybe we will get some more pictures? I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
Speaking of pictures, here I am at 28 weeks.

Do I look like I have gained 30 lbs? Well, I HAVE! My previous doc said not to do much exercise and to take it easy, so...no exercise+lots of yummy carbs (granola bars, chips, cold cereal)=lots of pregnancy weight. Yikes! My new OB nurse practitioner more or less told me that I needed to stop gaining so much weight. This is what she said, "let's try and keep your weight gain to under 40 pounds..." I was like "WHAT? how much have I gained?", when she told me 30 lbs from the beginning, I almost fainted. Luckily, she said that I could do some light exercise like prenatal yoga or walking each day. I am grateful for that. Lets just hope the pounds stay low and then come off afterward! She also said to cut down on so many carbs and try to get more fruits and veggies. Smart, and also safe, because sometimes more weight equals bigger mommy, but sometimes it can equal bigger baby and with my small frame (well, what used to be small frame) well, it's just not the very best. So...out with the Doritos and in with the celery sticks... It's okay though because I have been craving fruit a lot lately, especially with all the yummy produce stands on the side of the road calling my name!
The name game is going to begin. We both like Hannah, but I am determined to have more than one name picked out...what if she doesn't look like a Hannah? We have to have a backup. Any suggestions? Come on, I KNOW you have some.
Our baby girl is kicking and rolling around like crazy, to my absolute delight! And though it may not be the most comfortable thing in the universe, it is very very comforting to have that daily reminder of the little blessing that I have stirring around in my mid-section. We love her already and are so excited to meet her and hold her and kiss her forever!
Nobody ever told me that your feet grow when your pregnant! I just picked out a pair of shoes in size 7! I used to be 5 1/2. You've got to be kidding me. I understand the swelling bit, but why are they longer?
One more thing...this is where we got to park on Saturday...

that was my favorite... pregnancy parking. I loved it. Best buy has "expecitng mother and mothers with small children" so I still get to park close (although, I don't really go to best buy all that often!)
You are such a cutie! Some of my favs: Ella, Ava, Elizabeth, Sophie or Sophia. And don't feel too bad about your weight gain...I gained 45 pounds with Zachary! Yeah, woopsy!
You look so cute! And isn't the stork stall the best?
Of course we vote for Hannah -- it's a great name!
My feet went from 5 1/2 to 7 also. It's the weight gain -- The podiatrist told me that it's not really your feel growing, it's all the pressur on them that collapses the arches!
Love you!
I can't tell you how much I enjoyed this post. I am so excited!!! You look adorable by the way. Anyway, some names that I like are- Ruby, Ember, Lily, Audrey, Sonia, and I could go on and on, but I wont. I am sure you will come up with a perfect name for your perfect little girl :)
I gained alot with my pregnancy's to, I think I was expecting to leave the hospital skinny after my first and brought my pre-pregnancy clothes to go home in...don't expect that and plan leaving in your maternity clothes or something big and comfy!
I heard about feet growing, it didn't happen to me, that's crazy, I don't know why it happens, maybe they'll make you run faster to chase after her when she starts walking;) I like the names Cambry, Alyvia, and Gwyen. wow that was long...sorry. :) call me and lets plan something...
You look great - YEAH for the 3rd trimester!
Don't even start with me on the weight gain, ugh.
I'm not going to give you my names...I think you understand ;) Although I do LOVE LOVE LOVE the name Tabitha and Aaron will NEVER EVER go for it, so its up for grabs.
Laura I have taken a Summer long break, and now I am reading about your beautiful news! I was seriously in tears when I read about your pregnancy! You are going to make a wonderful mother, I am so ecited for you two! I of coarse vote for Hannah, and with an h at the end, so that when you spell it backward it would spell the same thing! Why didn't my parents think of the h at the end when they named me? You'll find that whatever you decide to name them, it just fits!
I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!!
You look so wonderful. I do not see the 30lbs. Just a little tummy and it looks great. I can't wait to meet your little one and I am so happy that you guys are so in love with her all ready. She will be very very loved. there are a lot of perks about being pregnant. The parking is nice. I am going to a baby fest next week where you can get lots of "goodies" and stuff for baby. It is so fun. What a fun time!!
