our memorial day.

Just a bit about what we did for Memorial Day. We went to the ward breakfast and it was alot of fun! We ate Bacon and Eggs and Pancakes, cooked by wonderful and enduring chefs. We socialized, we played cornhole, volleyball, relaxed and had face painting. We listened to a patriotic speech about the flag and got to know the veterans in our ward a little better! We had a lot of fun, WE LOVE OUR WARD!

That evening Connel and I went with the Reeds to the Indians game! It was my first Pro League baseball game and I had a blast. First though we stopped by Chic-Fil-A to get some waters cuz I was dying, we decided to get a milkshake too! We got to the window and they said we get our milkshake for free cuz we are wearing Red White and Blue (Cleveland Indians Garb) on Memorial day, so we asked for another one and got 2 FREE MILKSHAKES! Great deal. Then we went to the game we met our friends the Reeds their and all of us were decked out in our Indians gear. Even little Jacob who was adorable in his little Tribe outfit! We ate Hot dogs and CrackerJacks and even got to sing "Take me out the Ballgame"!!! Afterward we watched the Fireworks. And even though the game went into 2 extra innings (I think it was 2, I really don't know), and the Indians still LOST...we had a ton of fun! If you have not been to a real pro league baseball game, it is something I recommend! It was a great time!

almost 4 years.

So we have been married almost 4 years (3 weeks to go) and Connel and I have not had any "professional" photos taken of us since our wedding day, so on this weekend we went to one of the beaches on Lake Erie and took some pics.

After the following:
-setting my camera to wait 20 seconds
-running to the spot where I was supposed to be in the picture
-waiting and smiling and posing for the camera to take 10 pics in a row
- running back to where the camera was sitting to check out the picture
-then, if it didn't work out exactly as I planned, doing it all over again....
-oh yeah, and hoping that in the mean time my almost dead batteries would not die
-making Connel sit in the water in the same place for 20 minutes or so
-reminding him that he agreed to do this (he was embarrassed a little about the onlookers)
-and making him get his new pants and shoes all dirty...

I think I got some pretty good ones.

Here they are (well, after a few Photoshop and iPhoto touch ups :) I don't think I did to bad...

After the ordeal, we did get to enjoy the beach and the rest of the sunset.

randomness.

I have not had much time to post lately, I have been really busy working, and I just started to help this sweet little girl with her reading...I have forgotten how much I love to help children succeed, not that I have done much to help her yet, but I just love being able to make children smile, for some reason I relate with children better that I do with adults, I am not sure if that can be contributed to childLIKEness or childISHness? Probably the latter.

I have also been pretty sore lately as Jillian Michaels has been kicking my toosh! I started working out with my two friends and one of them introduced us to this workout video by Jillian Michaels. Let me give you a little background, I don't like gyms, I hate to run, what works for me is a video and a friend. Now, most of you probably know that most workout vids are a little on the... well...they just don't kick your battootie like a real person does. I like a workout that makes me sweat, and I mean drip. I became a TurboJammer last March (07) and I lost 7 lbs with Chalene my GIRL! But, it was starting to become a but old and of course I started to gain it all back. Well, Jillian is going to help me shed the lbs once again and forever! I seriously recommend looking into being a BIG LOSER with Jillian! Like she says..."It is NO JOKE!" and that's true! She is mean...but I love it! When you see the people on the video actually sweating and grunting along with you, you know it's working.

Connel and I helped with the Spring Fling Dance in our ward this past weekend and we had a lot of fun dancing and strutting our stuff to country line dance tunes, the twist, YMCA, the bunny hop...and more, it was a blast. We haven't been dancing since Wednesday Country Night at BYU-I and I was needin' some boot scootin' action!! I left my camera though and I didn't get any pics, but while I was practicing at home for a line dance I taught, we turned on the camera and recorded a video of us dancing, so here goes, and yes, my husband is the best because he agreed to dance in the living room with me, not quite dancing barefoot in the kitchen, but hey, he's still got the moves!

Never mind..I cannot get these stupid videos to work!!!! Help.
