idaho trip june 2010 {island park}.

We were so excited to get into the mountains!  We love the Idaho landscape and it was nice to be able to enjoy it!

We ended up at Mack's Inn in Island Park.  There are so many fun things that we did!

Hannah and Grandma...

Our lodgings and the view...

 Testing the waters...

Island Park view...

The Pettersons...

We went to check out Big Springs and see the Johnny Sack Cabin...

walking to the cabin...

Johnny Sack Cabin...

The girls...

hanging out at the springs and checking out the HUGE trout fish!

Hannah was so sleepy she just fell asleep on Uncle Cody's shoulder.  (she hardly ever does that!)

We also went floating on Henry's fork.

getting ready to take off.

We put Hannah in this swim outfit with a built in floating device.  Wow.  She HATED it!  She cried when we put it on, she cried while it was on.  It didn't seem to comfortable, so we  took it off.  She was a lot more comfortable once we did!

Nice...

Hannah's first Oreo experience.  She loves em!  What can I say?  She likes Cheetos as well.  Like Mother, Like Daughter...

The following scene took me back in time to when my family was on a trip to Yellowstone and my sister Emily and I rode one of these paddle boats in this exact spot.  We were freaking out that we were going to go under the bridge and we were paddling like crazy because we didn't want to coast downstream and DIE.  Only because our Dad told us that the Snake River was one of the most dangerous because of the "undertoes".  Well, we just thought that the "under"toes were going to suck us "under".  (If only we had known we weren't even on the Snake River yet and that the river we WERE on was only a few feet deep. Haha!)  I still don't really know if this stuff about "undertoes" is true or false.  Can anyone enlighten me?  Dad?  Emily?  Anyone?

A moose approached the water and dove right in!  Just a short distance from where we were staying.  I wonder if those fisherman were a little nervous?!?!

And of course we had to go to a play at Mack's Inn Dinner Theatre.  We saw "Pirates of the CA-RIB-EE-AN."  It was a parody of the "Pirates"  Film.  It was really funny and I just love to watch the talent!

"Jack Sprat who can eat no Fat"  and the rest of us.

YUM!  Salad!

Can you spy the person who does not belong in the family?

Oh and Hannah loved the play, she was all eyes and ears for most of it.  But she did get a little fussy at the end when it was getting past her bedtime.

The Crew.

It was all outlaws, hussies and drunks 'round those parts.
Hmmmm.  I think he may have deserved this... for one reason or another... ;)  J/K, Love ya Honey!

Darrrr!

Love the Faces!!!

Hannah wants to be a pirate when she grows up and sail the seven seas!
It was fun to be out in nature and enjoy the outdoors.  Hannah just loves the outdoors and is so quiet and just looks around at everything!  (It's nice for when she's fussy!)  We are glad because we LOVE the outdoors!

Upcoming: Yellowstone Nat'l Park and THE END of the trip....finally.

idaho trip june 2010 {a few days in OR}.

After we visited in Idaho Falls, we headed west to Connel's hometown.  We were planning on heading out for the 5 hour drive at about 4 AM.  That way Hannah would sleep for most of the way.  Well, Hannah ended up having a really bad night.  We were up until about 2 AM trying to get her to sleep.  She was teething and had a small fever.  Luckily my Dad and Connel were able to give her a blessing the next morning and things went smoothly.  Needless to say, after staying up until 2, we did not get on the road until about 7 AM.  We ended up stopping to eat breakfast.  Where we discovered the benefits of a portable DVD player (our computer jerry-rigged up so Hannah could see it) and in turn discovered that Hannah likes the movie ICE AGE!  :)  Or maybe she thinks it was boring, because she fell asleep and that was that.  She did great the rest of the way.

Hannah with Grandpa

We got to see the Becks (Erin and Brian + Molly and Jeff and Jessica + Nathan and Natalie)!  It's so fun to see little ones interact with one another!
