something fishy.

We bought a fish tank! We really wanted a dog, however, the place we live will only allow larger pets if someone is home with them the majority of the time. So, fish seemed like a fun alternative. We set up the tank a couple weeks ago, water and all, then 2 Monday's ago, we went to get our first 6 fish. The first two look like this:
They made it through the night and are still swimming around alive and kickin' or should I say flippin'?.

The other ones we got looked like this:
So...remember the part in Finding Nemo, when Nemo puts the rock in the filter? ...Well...I had to fish 3 little neon tetras out of the filter the morning after we got them. Poor little guys.

You are supposed to get more than one when you get a breed of fish, however this little guy was all alone in a tank with some HUGE fish and he just kept swimming around and kissing (or biting) all of the other fish. He looked a little overwhelmed and we was so cute, so I just HAD to get him. He is a loner in our tank to, but I can't find another one like him. It's okay because he schools with all the other fish, and they don't mind.

I like having pets! And even though I love my little fishes, but I still can't wait to get a dog (yorkshire terrier) like this:

That is the way I am feeling. With the time change and the weather change and my little "media fast", for some reason I am feeling active and balanced and ready to take on challenges. Yay! But, first, a few updates.

I'll start from now and go backward...

We have had some tornado weather. Scary huh? Yesterday at work we had a tornado drill, because last night the weather temp (which has been in the 70's--awesome) dropped to the 30's and warm air + cold air in a thunderstorm = tornado watches/warnings and sometimes tornadoes. (Don't worry Mom, there is nothing to worry about). We are safe.

However, on Sunday, we were in Sacrament Meeting...the rest hymn was about to start and the Branch President stood up and had his counselor go look out the window to find extremely rain and windy weather. In the background we heard the tornado sirens. After a quick little cheesy joke about singing "Master, the Tempest is Raging" and a prayer of safety the branch was ushered to the hallways of our little branch building to wait out the bad weather. It was a little scary (I tried not to look or act scared but I WAS!) and so for the remainder of the hour, while the storm passed (no tornado came that close), we waited in the hall. After the storm we went back to classes and the rest of the day was nice!

You have become an pathetic obsession.

Sometimes I leave you little notes, sometimes I just stalk you and admire your many talents and from a distance. Sometimes I spend hours with you just because I like being with you...

However, I feel ashamed that it has come to this.

It's not that you aren't important in my life, it's not that I have stopped loving you, you still have that same spark that you have always had, it's just that I need some time to think.
You see, the thing is, I think that it's about time we take a break.
It won't be a long break, just week, I will contact you by email periodically as I will need your support for religion and business, however, all surfing and other recreational activities that have to do with you must cease for 7 days, while I regain my priorities and organize my thoughts about our relationship.
If there is something important that you need to talk to me about, call me...I would love to hear your voice.
