3 Random Facts About Me
-I have this really weird habit that if someone or something brushes up against one side of my body, I have to "even it out" and touch the other arm, leg, cheek...OCD?  Nah.

-I wrecked Connel's bike the other day.  I decided that I would be courageous and barrel over 4 or 5 fallen branches, well, when I started to fall, I tried to stop the bike..but because I had my feet in the stirrups attached to the pedals of Connel's Mountain bike, I stayed attached to the bike and ended up entwined in the branches.  I escaped with 3 or 4 bruises and very wounded pride.

-I am coming home for 2 weeks at the end of August! Yippee!

A photo journal of our FANTASTIC Fourth of July Weekend:

We went to a friends for a very FANTASTIC brunch...after stuffing ourselves to the brim with our first "unbutton the pants" meal the guys played Bocce ball and the girls talked about what else...clothes!

That evening, we went to another friends house and silly me...I didn't take ANY pictures...what a slacker huh? But we did have our scrumptious "unbutton the pants" meal #2! (Thanks to the FANTASTIC SAUSAGE griller!)

We then saw the FANTASTIC fireworks with some more friends!

THEN...on SATURDAY, the brunch friends invited us to the Lake and we were able to go on a boat ride on Lake Erie! It was beautiful.

We also went on a "WILD AFRICAN SAFARI"...let me tell you it was WILD...but not so African. It was mostly deer and some elk, however there were a few zebras and 2 giraffes. Oh yeah, and a yak.

We got to feed the animals and they stuck their head INSIDE OF THE CARS to get the food. I'm sure that they were considered OBESE, for all the "unbutton your pants" carrot meals they had eaten that day. We went at 5 Pm and they were still chomping down!

...and...the most FANTASTIC thing I have ever done... pet a giraffe.

...glad that other giraffe didn't lick me.

A FANTASTIC ending to a FANTASTIC day.

This weekend we had our last Hoo-Rah with Alicia. We drove to New York (adding Penn and NY to our list of states we have visited! :) and we met up with our other sister Emily, her husband Aaron, and their little girl Tessa! It was so fun to be with all of them, but mostly for us to be together as sisters! Here are some pics from the trip.

We first went to the Whitmer Farm, where the Book of Mormon translation was finished, and where the Church was officially organized. This was my my favorite site, because I could really feel the spirit and know that this was really a sacred place. Then we headed to the Palmyra and ate some yummy burgers and ice cream at a place called Chills and Grills (which was DEEElisious!) Then off to the Book of Mormon publication site! Here is an interesting story, we walked into the site and saw the girl from the Community of Christ who had given us our tour of the Kirtland Temple!! What a small world. She was there with a whole group of young adults from the Comm. of Christ church. Then we went to the the properties and homes of the Smith Family and the Sacred Grove. It interesting, I have heard the Restoration Story all my life...that Joseph Smith saw the Father and the Son in the Sacred Grove...and I have believed it, then come to know for sure that it is true. But going to the place that it happened really sealed my testimony...it made the story all the more real... We also went to the Hill Cumorah. However, for some reason, we paid more attention to the little frog that was there, than the monument...oops! We still know that it is a hallowed ground and it was wonderful to have been there...and climb the huge steep hill!

The next day we went to Niagara Falls. It is crazy how huge those falls are!! Scary actually. We went on a tour called the Cave of the Winds, however after the anticipation of being led into a cave, the tour guide let us know that becuase of erosion, they had closed the cave in the 1920's...but kept the name. BUT...it was still AWESOME!!! If you have never had the chance to kiss under a waterfall...make it a priority. We were able to walk to the base of the waterfalls and onto a deck called the hurricane deck, where the waterfall soaked you! I took a pic of my sis and her husband kissing under the falls and then just HAD to have one too...but it ended up with a huge water splotch right in front of us. The kiss was fantastic though!

One of the best things about going was being able to see Emily, Aaron and Tessa. We usually get to see then about every months it seems, but that is too long, as Tessa is sprouting like a flower(I would have said "sprouting like a weed" but she is prettier than a weed.) What a cute and sweet little girl. She is always smiling and such a good sport! I hardly ever heard her whine...even when the mist from the waterfall was getting her a little bit wet! We giggled and cooed over her the entire time!
